This shower was thrown by Sherry and Lindsay Matijevich and Brenda and Brittany Craig. It was held at the house Brenda grew up in. I must say, Dorothy Quarles's house is lovely. I've been there tons and tons, but I don't know why it took me this time to appreciate the quaintness of it. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have a new love for Craftsman houses because I lived in one this past spring. Or maybe when you get married, you start noticing grown up things. (Yeah right).
Anyway, it was a drop-in shower, and so ladies came and went and seemed to have a ball. The cake that Sherry had made was darling. It matched the invitation beautifully. I got lots and lots of great gifts and am thankful for all the love and support that I received from my small town family. It's crazy how generous everyone has been. People (aka the only two newly married people I know) warned me that I would be surprised at people's generosity, but it has even surprised my prepared-for-generosity self. Good work everyone, good work!
My favorite part of the day was captured in this picture.
These 4 girls and I were self proclaimed the Fab 5. We did absolutely everything together. We played powerpuff girls and tanning bed in the church playground, we dressed up as spice girls for Spirit week, we played too many soccer games together, we got on each other's nerves, we celebrated Independence Day and New Year's Eve together, we fought over who got to room with who on Beta Club trips (there were 5 of us and only 4 to a room...Yikes is right!). We've shared a lot of laughs, and I'm glad this one got captured. I love each of you! Thanks for sharing my childhood with me!
I can't tell you how many times I've looked at this picture. It never gets old.
