"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

our story

Nick and I are high school sweethearts.

But the ironic thing is that Nick and I did not speak a word to one another until midway through our senior year as Patriots at Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, TN.

From the beginning..

The first time I heard about the one and only Nick Sherrod was at a football jamboree that kicked off our freshman year. One of his little friends came over to where I was sitting in the stands and asked me if I liked Nick Sherrod. Being a wary freshman girl, I told the little punk that I had never talked to Nick and couldn't say if I liked him simply by appearance. (Clearly, I had standards. And he and his friends did not.) Later, Nick would tell me it was my hunter green shirt that caught his eye. Figures.

Fast forward 3 years.

Several people told me that Nick had a long time crush on me, but nothing had really come of it. Then our worlds finally collided. Nick and I randomly showed up to a Sevier County, Bearden football game. We had a mutual friend, Shawn Hodge, who we came to see play that night, and as fate would have it, we both arranged to sit with the same friend, Houston Steele, not knowing that the other was going to be sitting there.

After a month of being friends at school, Nick asked me to call him after we both got home from basketball practice. I was rather hesitant but fortunately, my best friend, Laura Potts, convinced me to call.

4 years later, we are planning our wedding!
