Sherrod Shower

(I apologize for my absence. I was doing so well there for a while. This week will be full of posts that I have known I was going to write but never did.I wrote them in my head. Does that count? No?)

So my second shower was thrown by Nick's paternal grandmother, Memaw and his Aunt Joy. They did one heck of a job. For decorations, Joy and her daughter Chloe made tissue paper balls (I'm sure there is a much more technical word for those) that were hung from the ceiling. They also made burlap flag banners for the food table and the gift table. They were ADORABLE! (I liked them so much, I'm using them again. Watch for them on July 14th!) The other things that stand out in my mind about that shower in particular were the key lime pie dip with pretzels (yum doesn't even do it justice) and the sausage roll type things.

The shower was thrown for the Sherrod side of the family + some of Memaw's church friends. There were tons of ladies there, which meant me and we received tons of great gifts and got to see and meet lots of friends and family!  Woohooo for gifts and gals! Nick was ordered to this shower by Memaw (I like her style), which I thought was appropriate since his family is really purchasing gifts because they love him. They could probably give a rat's batottoon about me (just kidding, I'm sure they love me too...maybe), but it was fun to get to be there with him. And for him to get a glimpse of what goes on in girl world!
